We collect as little reader data as we can while still running a publication. This page explains what we hold and why.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the Market & Trade Briefing we store your email address, the date you subscribed, where you subscribed from and your delivery preferences. We use it only to send the briefing and to respond to you. You can unsubscribe at any time and we will mark the record inactive.

Correction requests and enquiries

If you contact the desk we store the message, your name where supplied and your email address, so we can investigate and reply.

Analytics

We measure aggregate page and article performance to understand which coverage is useful. We do not build advertising profiles, sell reader data or run invasive cross-site tracking. Where analytics or search-console integrations are enabled, they are configured for aggregate reporting.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Contact the desk through the contact page and we will act on the request.
