Policy
Corrections Policy
We aim for the highest practical standard of factual reliability, and we do not claim to be infallible. When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and say what changed.
How we handle a request
- Every request is logged and reviewed by an editor against the original source material.
- Where a factual error is confirmed, the article is corrected and the correction is noted.
- Where the disputed point is a claim made by the original source, we make the attribution clearer or remove the claim.
- Where no error is found, we record the outcome and reply.
What to include
Please provide the article link, the specific passage you are disputing, what the accurate position is, and any supporting reference we can check. A named contact at the company or organisation concerned helps us resolve requests faster.
Request a correction
Tell us the article, the passage in question and the accurate position. An editor reviews every request against the original source material.
