Policy

Editorial Policy

This policy governs every article published by Pure Crude Trading, whether drafted by a human editor or produced with editorial AI assistance and reviewed under this policy.

Sourcing

Stories originate from monitored industry sources whose reliability is assessed and recorded. Source approval is a manual editorial decision: a feed is not treated as trustworthy simply because it is machine-readable. Each source carries a reliability score, licensing notes and an attribution format.

Verification

Before publication, an article is scored for source reliability, source accessibility, factual consistency against the source, duplication, editorial quality, SEO completeness, image confidence and defamation risk. The result is a publication-readiness verdict of pass, review or reject.

Publication is blocked automatically when the source cannot be verified or retrieved, when the article's claims conflict with the source, when unsupported claims or allegations are present, when quotations cannot be validated against the source, when the text is too close to the original, or when the original source cannot be determined.

Positive-news positioning, honestly applied

We deliberately concentrate on constructive, neutral and commercially useful developments. That is an editorial focus, not a licence to distort. We do not manipulate facts to make a story appear positive, and we do not rewrite negative reporting as good news.

Material allegations, legal disputes, criminal claims and serious operational failures are routed to human review or rejected rather than published automatically. We do not knowingly publish defamatory claims.

Attribution

Every article identifies the original publisher, the source publication time, when we retrieved it, and links to the original report where appropriate. We do not hide the origin of source material.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. Anyone can request a correction; see the corrections policy for the process and what to include.

Independence

Editorial decisions are not for sale. Any commercial or sponsored placement, if introduced, will be labelled clearly and kept separate from editorial coverage.
